About Us

Maison La Belle Vie—French for “House of Beautiful Life”—began on this intimate 6-acre estate under the vision of John Barbier, who was raised in France’s Loire Valley, in a family shaped by generations of winemaking tradition. After moving to the United States and building a career in hospitality, he discovered this property in 2004 and set out to create a destination where wine, place, and warmth of welcome meet with quiet elegance.

The first small vintage was produced in 2006, featuring Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, alongside a beloved signature: Vin de Pêche—crafted from Muscat and gently aged with peach leaves and peach wood for a softly sweet, beautifully distinctive finish. In 2009, the tasting room opened its doors to the public, inviting guests into the Maison experience.

Today, Holly and Nicholas Games proudly own and operate Maison La Belle Vie, honoring the original spirit of the estate while thoughtfully elevating every detail—from the guest experience and culinary offerings to the wine program and seasonal events that define Maison’s signature style.
